Property Description
This National Historic Landmark was the home of Edward Douglass White, United States Supreme Court Chief Justice from 1910 to 1921. Built between the late 1700s and 1830s, the main house is excellent example of Creole plantation architecture and traditional construction techniques. Rich in history and graced with tranquil beauty, this site is a must-see on any visit to Louisiana’s fabled bayou country.

From I-10 take the Donaldsonville/Spur 70 Exit. Cross the Sunshine Bridge and take a left on La. Hwy. 1 towards Thibodaux.
