Country music superfest to feature Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown Band
When it comes to the lineup for the 2013 Bayou Country Superfest, 'super' doesn't even cover it.
There's only one place fans of country music should find themselves this Memorial Day weekend, May 25–26: Louisiana State University's Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.
The usual home for football fans is being taken over by kings of the country music world. Mega music stars Zac Brown Band will return for the 2013 Bayou Country Superfest, joined by Sugarland, Miranda Lambert and Luke Bryan. Boosting the superfest title will be top-draws Darius Rucker, Thompson Square, Aaron Lewis, The Band Perry, Rodney Atkins and Frankie Ballard. “Year four of the Bayou Country Superfest is a milestone,” said Quint Davis, producer/director of the Festival. “We have set a simple goal: to bring the biggest stars in country music together for the best show in America."
Lady Antebellum will headline the fest's opening night, joined by Miranda Lambert. Both artists are Grammy, CMA and ACM award winners. Darius Rucker, Thompson Square and Aaron Lewis round out the lineup for Saturday night.
On Sunday, Zac Brown Band, who appeared at 2011's second annual Bayou Country Superfest, brings their incendiary live show back as they look to top their epic performance from 2011. The Grammy Award winning country/folk band is well know for hits like "Chicken Fried" and "Toes." The 2013 Academy of Country Music's Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan will also take the stage on Sunday, along with The Band Perry, Rodney Atkins and Frankie Ballard.
The weekend's festivities will include a Fan Fest & Tailgate Party outside Tiger Stadium, with more country music, great food and drinks and activities from event sponsors. Fan Fest kicks off at 11 a.m. each day and is free to the public.

Bayou Country Superfest is a reserved-seating event, so fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Special VIP upfront, standing-room tickets in an area called the Golden Horseshoe will be available in very limited supply. A limited number of discounted two-day ticket packages will also be available at certain price levels. Don’t forget to add parking to your ticket purchase in one of LSU’s premium parking lots.
