Zwolle

Zwolle is a small town in the Toledo Bend Lake area. The area's early influence from Native Americans as well as African-American, French and Spanish settlers is reflected in the local culture. Zwolle (pronounced Zwa’-lee) hosts three must-experience festivals each year: The Choctaw-Apache Powwow, held the last weekend in April; The Zwolle Loggers and Forestry Festival is held the second weekend in May and the Zwolle Tamale Fiesta is held the second weekend in October.

The surrounding area features Toledo Bend with 186,000 acres of fishing, outdoor adventures, hiking, boating, birding and more.
