The Cannes Brûlées Native American Museum, one of the Rivertown Museums, exhibits a collection of traditional and contemporary artworks created by American Indian artisans still living in Louisiana and the Southeast. Displays include basketry, jewelry, tools, musical instruments, wood carvings, children's toys, model dwellings, moccasins, a dugout cypress pirogue and more. Many of the artisans whose works appear in the museum demonstrate at the museum's special events throughout the year.

Directions

Located just 1/2 mile from the New Orleans International Airport: Exit Airport Road onto Airline Highway heading east; take a right at Williams Blvd. Once you cross the railroad tracks (just a few blocks), you'll be in Kenner's Rivertown! Located just 15 miles from downtown New Orleans: Take I-10 West to the Williams Boulevard South exit and head towards the river. Continue down Williams for about two miles until you reach Rivertown. Park for free in the parking lot across from the Rivertown Exhbition Hall, where museum tickets can be purchased.
