Our lunchtime restaurant open from 11 am to 2 pm daily, is a place where one can take a break from their hectic day and enjoy a casual lunch. Our menu is varied and ranges from a great healthy salad, to a fried oyster po-boy, to a filet mignon, done just right. Relax and order a mint julep or select a bottle of wine from our extensive wine list, and enjoy the afternoon. The Pavillon at Houmas House design is reminiscent of the garconierre at Germania Plantation, located across the Mississippi River. Old brick walls from remnants of a cotton warehouse built by the Princess of Monaco in 1883, are accented with 250 year old windows and large spans of glass which allow our guests picturesque views of the gardens and fountains. Large oil paintings of garden scenes accent the walls to create an ambience that's classic, yet comfortable.
Directions
Exit I-10 at Exit #179 and go South on Highway 44 for 4.5 miles. Once you get to the fork in the road at the Mississippi River Levee, take a right onto Hwy 942 and go West for 1/2 mile and Houmas House will be on your right. We are 50 minutes from New Orleans and 20 minutes from Baton Rouge on the Great River Road
