Property Description

Located in northeast Natchitoches Parish in the Kisatchie National Forest. This area was named after Caroline Dormon, the first woman e mployed in forestry in the U. S. and leader in the designation of Kisatchie as a National Forest. Briarwood was the home of Caroline Dormon and is open for guided tours on weekends during the months of March, April May, August and November.
